POST 8: ENGLISH LANGUAGE CHALLENGES

Well... I have had 2 university teachers and both have been very easygoing and nice. I had really bad teachers in the high school but we have to see the positive side, they were so bad speaking English that it was a little bit funny. A few years ago I went to California and at that moment I just knew the "to be" verb so I had to plan some questions and phrases to try to make a conversation... The result was bad because I always tried to speak fast...

On the other hand, I improved my English very fast thanks to Tandem. It is a social media to learn English at the same time you make very nice friends, it is not an app for flirting, I make the advisory because that is the first thing that the people think XD. I made a lot of friends and I usually make video conversation with them.

I like the idea about this blogs, but to be honest, I think that maybe it would not be the best method to practice writing because you decide what to say and many times if you do not know how to write something, you decide to write other thing more easy, I think that is different when you take a conversation by chat.

I use my english about twice a week because I sometimes have to read English papers or having conversation with friends from different European countries. I am gonna travel to Europe in February so I hope I hope to use a lot my english.

I would like to take the toefl exam to postulate to some universities in united states or Europe, so I have been thinking about the possibility of taking some courses with native teacher :)

The electric instruments  My favorite piece of technology is the electric guitar, but specifically my guitar, of course, hahahah. The electric instrument made a revolution in the arts in the 20th century. For example, in the 80's so many musicians could create very different music because the new keyboards and synthesizers. I use my electric guitar every single day. I remember when my parents gave it to me in the beach for my birthday, that day i was all day in my room, i couldn't go to the sea because that guitar made fall in love. The electric guitar can make a lot of different sound, you can change the volume, gain, bass, middle, high of the sound. Also you can use some effects with the amplifier, like distortion, chorus, flanger, wah wah and others. In my opinion, today so many people are using more some synthesizers than the electric guitar for that kind of effects, but the guitar was the "big papa" in the 20th century.

 The fugue The fugue is a method of composition from the baroque period. This style of composition was very used by Bach, even, we can say that he is the best composer using the fugue. Some composers in the history have changed the rules of fugue like Alberto Ginastera, Astor Piazzolla, and others latin american composers. One day my teacher said me "the fugue is the harder test for a composer". In my opinion he is right and at the same time it is very relative. I choose this topic because i am always trying to compose a fugue, sometimes i try to make an traditional fugue but is very useful to study some modern fugues. This method is really important to me because with this technique you can make a big song just using a small material like a seed. This is a fugue analysis. If you are interested about it, i recommend you to listen "the art of fugue", "fuga con pajarillo", "Misterio y fuga" and "Fantasia and fugue in C minor". Enjoy it!
